Frequently Asked Questions

Simple answers before you start service.

How much does residential service cost?

Residential Trash is $39.50 per month. Residential Trash + Recycling is $49.50 per month. Pay six months upfront to save 7.5%, or twelve months upfront to save 12.5%.

What is included?

Each base service includes collection of one trash bin. Each additional trash bin is $10 per month and receives the same 7.5% or 12.5% discount when prepaid.

When is collection?

Trash is collected every Wednesday. Recycling is collected every other Wednesday beginning October 21, 2026, on one shared companywide schedule for customers whose service includes recycling. There will no longer be a separate Monday recycling pickup.

Recycling collection dates for the remainder of 2026:

  • October: 21
  • November: 4 and 18
  • December: 2, 16, and 30

Customers whose plans include recycling should place both carts out on these dates. On all other Wednesdays, please put out your trash cart only. Trash-only customers continue with their regular Wednesday service.

On scheduled recycling weeks, both carts will be collected during the same Wednesday visit. Materials will be transported to our contracted waste management facility for handling, sorting and disposal in accordance with the facility’s accepted waste classifications.

How do I sign up?

Tap Start Service, select your address from the address search, choose a plan, provide your contact and service details, review the information, and continue to secure payment.

When am I charged and when does service begin?

Payment is collected during signup. Your paid service period begins on the start date you select, and an off-cycle first period is prorated. The enrollment flow requires at least two business days of lead time.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Card and bank details are entered in Stripe's secure payment form and are not stored by Green Valley's website.

Can I manage my service online?

Yes. Existing customers can use Manage Service to add or reduce service, move service to another eligible address, or tell Green Valley they are selling or leaving a property. Payment-method updates continue through Stripe's secure customer portal.

Can I downgrade a 6- or 12-month plan early?

You can schedule a reduction, but it takes effect at the end of the prepaid commitment. Additions can be made during the term after any additional charge is confirmed. Prepaid reductions do not create a refund or credit.

What happens if I move?

If your new home is inside Green Valley's service area, your existing plan and remaining term can move with you. Your customer account and payment relationship stay with you; the old address becomes available to the next resident on the move date.

What if I sell my house during a prepaid term?

You can end service with no refund, or request to transfer the unused prepaid service period to the incoming resident. The incoming resident must accept the transfer and Green Valley must verify it. Your payment method never transfers to the buyer.

What happens if I cancel?

Monthly service ends at the close of the paid billing period. If you cancel a prepaid plan before its term ends, cancellation takes effect on the cancellation date and collection service stops immediately. No refund or account credit is provided for any unused prepaid balance.

What if my address is outside the service area?

You can join the waitlist. We will keep your contact and address information so Green Valley can follow up if service expands to your area. No payment is collected.

What if my address needs manual review?

We will collect your contact details and hold the enrollment before payment while Green Valley verifies the address.

Can I sign up by scanning a QR code?

Yes. Green Valley's QR code brings customers directly into the online Start Service flow.
